CIRCLE OF LIFE
You most probably know the theme song ‘The Circle of Life’ made popular in 1994 on release of the film ‘The Lion King’.
The Circle of Life isn't a concrete thing you can point to or look at. Rather, it's a symbolic term for the series of events that unfolds on earth, bringing us from cradle to grave, through ups and downs, love and misfortune, and so on.
Every living thing is part of a cycle. Plants and animals are born, they grow, they consume or produce, and they eventually die, making way for new life in their place. Without this cycle of life, ecosystems and the biosphere would not be able to survive.
Here at The Raft of Life, we delve deep into the 4 seasons that house the elements to balance and enhance life energy, making it difficult for disease to exist.
Your own personal Raft of Life is here for you to colour in as you progress on your journey…
The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement, God ('God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere' (Hermes Trismegistus)).
“As a philosophical concept, the circle of life means that we start at the end and end in the beginning. Our lives, from beginning to end, resemble a complete full circle. No matter how big or small the circle is, it ends in the exact same way for everyone.
In our outer experience, the circle of life suggests that all life is multiply-interconnected. Forests, for example, convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and release oxygen gas into the environment, providing a life-giving source of energy for all animals, including humans.
